Notes and Comments on the East Pattaya area
East Pattaya, for this website purpose, covers the Soi Chaiyaphon Withi, Siam Country Club Road, Soi Nern Plub Wan, Soi Khao Noi, Soi Khao Talo and other sois down to Soi 89 and as far east as Mabprachan Lake, Chak Nork, Horseshoe Point, Crocodile Farm and East Jomtien areas.
East Pattaya is a very popular location for Ex-Pat housing with a wide range of house prices from 2,000,000 THB to houses priced at millions of Dollars.
East Pattaya has always been popular with Ex-Pats and Thais alike as it is out-of-town but close enough to drive in for the beaches, shopping and entertainment.
East Pattaya is generally a 15-25 minute drive from central Pattaya and offers good access to the international schools and industrial zones.
The new highway extensions will make travelling to schools, the industrial zones and the airports far more convenient.
There is a good selection of Local and Bi-Lingual schools in the area with the main international schools in East Pattaya being Tara Pattana International School and Regents International School.
There are numerous local Thai restaurants and large food markets in the area.

Convenience stores such as 7/11, Family Mart, Lotus Express and Mini BigC are now in the area.
For larger food shopping Makro and Tesco Lotus are only a short drive away.
There are banks in East Pattaya on Soi Khoa Talo and Soi Khao Noi and most convenience stores mentioned above have ATM machines.
