These notes and comments have been written to assist you in understanding the areas of Pattaya and to help you make the correct decision about the location of your proposed next home in Pattaya.

For the purpose of this website this area is the west side of Sukhumvit (inside Sukhumvit as they say), north of Theprassit Road through to North Pattaya Road (Pattaya Nua) and Pattaya Beach Road (Pattaya Bay).
This are is mostly condominiums, low-rise and high-rise, but there are some housing developments too.
The beach runs from the start of Walking Street through to the Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel where it becomes Wong Amat Beach.
Entertainment areas vary from one extreme to another.
If you want a drink you have the choice of Beer Bars, Go-Go Bars, traditional British-style pubs such as The Sportsman on Soi 13, Queen Victoria on Soi 6 or Jameson’s or roof-top hotel bars for sundowners etc.
If you would like to eat you have the choice of street food, Pub food, local Thai and western restaurants, eating in the variety of restaurants in the shopping malls or fine dining alternatives such as Restaurant Casa Pacal with the Five Star Hotels such as Hilton Pattaya, Interconinental Pattaya Resort and Holiday Inn offering dining alternatives from International Sunday Brunch to coffee-shop-style dining.
Take-away DELIVERY food is available from many Pattaya restaurants through web-based food delivery services.
Shopping is made easy with local souvenir shops ranging through to Mike Shopping Mall, Royal Garden Plaza and Central Festival Pattaya Beach which is the largest ocean-front shopping Mall in SE Asia and the recently opened Terminal 21 Pattaya.
There are daily and weekly markets too; there are no shortage of shopping opportunities!
Convenience stores such as 7/11 and Family Mart are everywhere, most with ATM machines.
Being “down town Pattaya” most the banks are within a short walk from your condominium.
If you are a fan of sport; most bars show live football, rugby and major boxing events.
